The wiring harness was in a truly unfortunate state—it was enough to make your eyes hurt.
For now, we removed it.
Not many people are happy with mounting using double-sided tape and cable ties. I think it looks smarter when things are mounted cleanly and simply, even if it’s understated.
There was surprisingly more bulk toward the rear, and fortunately the unit had threaded holes for mounting.
Many parts lack this kind of consideration, and I see a lot of instructions that say to mount using the included double-sided tape and cable ties.
I understand to some degree that this is unavoidable if you want to make DIY installation possible, but when someone has asked us to do the work, I don’t think we can just leave it as is.
When the fairings come off, we need to consider the layout and efficiency so that nothing looks disappointing and maintenance or disassembly isn’t hindered.
