Pipe bead processing. This is a machine that performs anti-pull processing on pipes.

The selling point was that it could handle inner diameters from 8φ. But the day before yesterday, the pin broke just one minute after starting—a sad turn of events.
Starting yesterday evening, I’ve been making pins. I thought chrome vanadium used in tools and such would be perfect, but… it broke.
Even when I made it with different wall thickness… it broke.
I happened to have an SUS304 low-head cap, so I tested using that as a base, and surprisingly it flexes without breaking…
So this morning I machined round stock and made the pin, fitting it precisely multiple times, and we finally got it working.

It now works with inner diameter 9φ and 2mm wall thickness too. It’s good that it’s usable now, but… I spent quite a bit of time on it.
Well, back to work.
