The EK chain links took a while to come in, so work was on hold.
Coolant should ideally be changed at least once every two years. Since it goes through constant heating and cooling cycles, sediment builds up. Let’s check it regularly.
Running tap water through it a few times and flushing it out simply works well to remove the buildup.
The radiator cap was pretty corroded, so we replaced it with an NTK.
It’s a good idea to write the date on it too.
The center muffler bracket broke, so we made a new one from stainless steel. The positioning was so tricky that we couldn’t bend it in one go, so we made it in two pieces.
We added a positioning pin too.
It only fits where it’s supposed to, and since the nut is welded on, attachment and removal should be easy.
The front sprocket is showing some wear, but the rear is in a similar state, so I’d recommend using it a bit longer and replacing both front and rear together.
We didn’t do an oil change on the standard fork since it’s being stored—seemed wasteful.
After a test ride, we’ll be done.
