Today we’re preparing for a brake master cylinder replacement.
But first, since the caliper is brand new, there’s one extra step.
We remove the piston, apply metal rubber, and reassemble—this speeds up the break-in.
We’re replacing the master cylinder with our favorite Brembo semi-radial master.
I thought the semi-radial might clear it, but I was wrong. The usual meter bracket interferes.
First, we cut away the light bracket.
Next, we do the same on the meter side.
We fabricate new steel pieces where we removed material, then fit and weld them along the pipe.
We didn’t make the welds too deep.
Even though we stripped the surface, the material seemed off—it sputtered and took extra time.
It looks a bit rough, and I apologize for that.
At first glance, it looks stock.
It works fine whether you’re braking or accelerating, so no worries.
It was a bit easier than a standard radial, actually.
The ETC antenna was loose, so we made a bracket for it.
That’s about it.
