Let’s perform oil-cooled maintenance.

First, we’ll do the prep work. Since we’re always improving our process year after year, it’s definitely better to request this service later.

It looks almost like a different part, it’s so clean. You can’t really see it, but the assembly side is happy too.

We’ll blacken it anyway, just to be safe.

The wear is about mid-range. We can see cracking and hardening.

We’ll pack it with NC100 grease and reassemble. This way the case side won’t wear as much in a stepped pattern, and the vibration actually cleans the inside a bit.

The generator damper also showed hardness appropriate for its age.

The spark plug condition isn’t great. We’ll replace it. Let’s monitor things for a while going forward.

Overall, we’re seeing scuffing across the board. Even with scuffing present, problems don’t suddenly appear. When replacing, the cam and rocker arm must be replaced at the same time, which increases costs.
The clearance appears to have been adjusted once before, so it wasn’t far off. We’ve adjusted everything just to be sure.

No adjustment needed—it’s already correct.

We’ve changed to Newtech NC50 10W-50.
After a test ride, we’re done.
