An FZR1000 with a YZF face. That’s pretty rare, isn’t it?

We sent the fork to Technics for replating. We’re just assembling it here.

The rear suspension is Nitron. They really do cover so many different models.

We remove it from the top. The workability is pretty good.

We wrap it so it doesn’t get scratched.

We want to remove the spot welds from the standard reservoir bracket and reuse it.

We cut out a piece of plate like this…

And spot weld it like this.

Wow, this is really convenient…

We also cleaned up the battery mounting plate.

I think it’ll be easier to adjust too.

Modern backstep switches are hydraulic. Fluid comes out ⇒ air bleeding is necessary ⇒ master cylinder is dirty ⇒ why not? That’s the direction we go.
Depending on the work, we charge by task and by labor hours. Lately it comes down to whether the finish feels good.

But it seems like they’ve been taking them apart lately. Well, generally you can’t polish them.

The starter relay side and battery side cover condition are bad, so we’ll replace them.

The Suzuki OEM part is subtly cute.

When you push and pull it, there’s a squeaking noise. Zero play, huh? It’s gotten bad. We adjusted it.

An accelerator that won’t return when you open it… that’s scary (for test riding).

The pin appears to have been partially ground down.

When tightened, it was contacting the throttle and feeling stiff.
We ground it down and adjusted it.
All done!
