Silencer alignment and bracket direct mounting and more~
We welded the ON bracket to the existing bracket. If we were to remove the existing one and reposition from scratch, there’s a high chance it won’t fit. We’re keeping the work to a minimum.
That said, it turned out to be quite a tight fit.
And that’s how it came out.
The frame-side tab engagement was loose. We adjusted it as requested.
We cut threads into the bracket, so it’s now nut-less.
Looks like a recent-style throttle. Thanks for choosing DIY. But this one doesn’t have an accelerator stopper…
Without a stopper, the play is determined by the tension on the pull and return sides. When it hits the stopper with a solid click, the throttle OFF feels really good.
By the way, without a stopper, the return feel is a bit subtle and wispy on the cable.
After much deliberation, this was the only spot…. We drilled a hole and tapped it! Looks good now.
Racing that nobody will notice.
We’re currently considering the layout here. We’re not doing it this time, but if we were to relocate all the wiring and auxiliary components here, it would open up quite a bit of space~.
