It seems there was a major leak. This is actually a good time to address it.
Is it rust, or did it corrode long ago?
The float valve is definitely shot this time. Let’s replace the starter valve while we’re at it.
Such a tedious torque-to-spec design. Seeing this kind of thing makes me want to stop using torque-to-spec fasteners.
Polishing wasn’t requested this time, so we’ll proceed as is.
That said, we’ll clean it up to this level anyway.
Setup is complete; now it’s just assembly and verification. Waiting on parts~
