First up is chain cleaning. A clean one that’s quick to work on is always appreciated.
It’s so clean that protection is priority number one, then priority number two.
Occasionally cleaning inside the arm feels great too. Scrubbing away hidden grime.
The axle shaft looks fine.
The best part is nobody notices. When someone eventually takes this bike apart down the road, I’d love for them to think, “Hmm, this bike is clean all the way inside.”
Titanium and aluminum everywhere—a bit nerve-wracking.
These hollow titanium washers… back when we restored bike #12, the GS1000R, they were used on the wheels and they just kept snapping. They’d break when loosening, break when tightening… I remember thinking at the time, is an eight-hour endurance race really that brutal?
Caliper operation is very good.
Pad wear is no problem.
