We’re installing a rear caliper (Brembo 34φ 2P) on the ZRX1100. This is a job that was requested quite a while ago.
The STACK ST700 installation will take a bit longer, so please bear with us (；∀；)
We’ll install it using the rear caliper, a 220φ disc, and a universal support bracket.
We removed the rear wheel and figured out the dimensions. We’re basically measuring everything against the actual parts to work out the numbers.
It has Marchesini 5R wheels installed, so
I remade the side collar in a Marchesini style (image on the right). Once we nail down this dimension, we can work out the rest by subtraction.
That’s the situation. The mounting bolts need to be pretty low-profile (the support is close by). We managed to clear it with equivalent PROBOLT titanium bolts.
*We got a bit nervous wondering if we’d need to mill out the support to make room for the bolt head, but it turned out okay.
I’m wondering if I should make a torque rod too, but for now we’re going with this and calling it done.
It looks quick, but this kind of work actually takes a fair bit of time.
