The world is on a four-day holiday.
But somehow the excitement feels thin. Or maybe it’s more like, what’s the big deal anyway? That might be the feeling.
Since I can’t go out, it’s actually fun to sit and think about motorcycles for a while.
The bracket I made back in the day (left) — aluminum with a nut, finished with matte spray. You can feel the years.
I worked it carefully along the ribs.
The layout was tight, so I changed the 90-degree angle to 45 degrees. At the same time, I replaced the outer covering that had gotten scuffed.
The cowl molding has been replaced too.
I replaced the fluid as usual with CCI Golden Cruiser DOT 4.
I adjusted the U-shaped side stand and then added shims.
I also replaced the fork oil.
Let’s vacuum bleed it and make sure all the air is out.
I synchronized the carburetors and charged the battery.
After that, we’ll get the inspection done on Monday and we’re all set.
