Bandit 1200 K6. Wheel bearing maintenance, hub damper, rear master OH, brake hose replacement

Oh no… I forgot to take a photo of the whole bike… (ΦωΦ)

The parts came in at such an odd time…
Let’s get to work smoothly!

I warmed it up and removed it smoothly.

Lately? (Though it’s 2006) I’m struck by how thick the axle is.
The rear diameter is subtly quirky and troublesome…

The OEM version has a single-side seal. There was still a decent amount of grease remaining.
When bearings run out of grease, their lifespan drops dramatically.

When replacing them, we use double-sided seals to keep them in good condition longer.

The seal operation is adequate, so we’re skipping lapping this time.

I noted down the distance collar dimensions. The numbers are kind of awkward, aren’t they…

We pressed in the bearings and we’re done. (Front and rear)

We’re replacing the rear master cup piston kit.
It was a bit dirty…

We polished it clean and restored it to better-than-new condition.

Measuring the new and old parts after removal really boosts your confidence.

It’s good to replace small parts while you’re at it. This vent tube is usually discontinued once it gets a bit old.
Nowadays hoses use clips, so using them on older models improves convenience.

We cleaned up all the little details.

Once the bearing contact is broken in, it should roll even smoother.
Thank you for the quick delivery!
