Finally, when you want to add a little rib and increase strength, this is very useful.
It also gives the appearance a bit more of a “you know what you’re doing” feel. It doesn’t get used often, but it’s a workhorse behind the scenes.

I’ve been using a different round bar bender recently, so I don’t use this as often, but for anyone who wants to bend round bars easily and inexpensively, it’s very practical.
If you’re bending more than once, you need to carefully calculate the pitch and position of the bends.

I was surprised by this design at first. What a clever idea!
You do need a mandrel to put inside the pipe, but it’s an extremely handy item.
