[Thoughts] Reverse-importing domestic maker parts? I have some slight doubts.

I really wanted to see a paper parts list, so I had it shipped from overseas…
Oh! B-Bulgaria…?
Oh, that famous one? Yogurt…

No matter how many units are sold overseas, it’s still a bit sad.
It’s quite sad, really. Having to order domestic maker parts and manuals from overseas…

Isn’t there some way to preserve this culturally?

Classic and out-of-production bikes seem to be kept alive by the passion and dedication of specialty shops.
Honestly, the number of reproduction products that sell domestically in Japan is pretty limited.

But when you see specialty shops carrying such a wide lineup of products with limited sales, you realize it’s “not just about business.”
It’s because they genuinely care about that maker and model.

I sometimes wish there were ways to keep things alive instead of discontinuing them outright. If makers could work well with their subcontractors and specialty shops, both sides could maintain a good relationship.
Recently, I’ve been happily ordering parts from overseas, but…
wait, that’s a Japanese maker… and it hits me a bit sad.
I bet people overseas are thinking “Huh? Japan? No parts available?” too.

Motorcycles face exhaust regulations, noise restrictions, parking bans, high unit costs, and now strict parts availability—it’s becoming harder to keep owning them.
“Just buy a new one!” you might say, but I think there’s value in “owning what you want to ride and keeping it for the long haul.”
Fix it while you can, ride it while you can. It’s a tough world out there. ( ゚Д゚)
