I really love John Lobb leather shoes. After all, the balance of comfort, compatibility, and design is unbeatable.
It’s not that I’m particularly luxury-oriented, but after wearing leather shoes from various brands,
this is the brand that remained after choosing based on how comfortable and easy to handle they are and how well they suit me.

I basically rotate boots and use them every day for work.
The way they break in is excellent—the more you wear them, the softer they become and the better they fit your feet.
Like a motorcycle, it’s an item you can use for a long time with repairs. There’s something quietly enjoyable about the culture of using beloved items for a long time.

I want to keep my possessions minimal and simple, using them with care for a long time

Since I use them for work, the surface leather is pretty beat up.
This time I also asked for sole replacement, inner repairs, and cleaning.
I wish I had kept photos of the boots before sending them in for repair. They’ve come back looking completely transformed.

I push motorcycles around for work, test ride them, and drive cars too

The leather is honestly amazingly soft. I especially love this grain-textured shoe. *Grain leather
They’re easy to wear right out of the box, and the more you wear them, the better they break in.
Also, creases don’t show as much, which is another benefit—they always look fresh.

And the boots themselves are lightweight, so they’re really easy to handle.

Boots become more and more character-filled the more you use them—they’re like a trusted companion.

Use them hard, break them in, and make them uniquely yours

With all the parts refreshed, they should last another 1-2 years.

As I mentioned at the beginning, I use them hard for daily work and when riding my motorcycle.
Also, I only wear these boots on rainy days in my daily life, so I put them through pretty harsh conditions.
Leather shoes are really durable, so it’s worth investing in a good pair that you can enjoy for years.

Doing a little maintenance on them yourself can be fun too.
