Time passes… and the exhaust pipe swap is complete.
Things like the engine hanger are attached, so I expected it might interfere. But it didn’t turn out that way. *No modifications needed.
The engine hanger and return spring cleared it with plenty of room.
There was a suspicion that the muffler might hit the foot.
Even when I tried to make it touch, it didn’t, so we’ll leave the guard off for now. *If we temporarily attach it, it will leave marks and scratches.
Remove the extended turn signal bracket and return it to stock
I wondered if the extended bracket could be removed from the outside, so I was working on it bit by bit from the outside, but halfway through I realized it wasn’t possible, so I removed everything.
Apparently it’s designed that way, and the wiring inside the rear fender can be disconnected like a sub-harness.
Removing and restoring the rear extended bracket took more time than swapping the muffler.
I also removed the left saddlebag bracket. One M10 bolt is missing, so we’re sourcing it now.
