Starting around next week, I’m thinking of taking Mondays and Tuesdays off (*´ω`*) The new factory has settled down a bit, so I’d like to take a little break and refresh myself. Please wait a bit longer for novelty shipments and the new crowdfunding campaign.
If the size works, I use this every time! After all, it’s reasonably priced and has no performance issues whatsoever. Silicon plug cordsoften have outer diameter issueswhen installing so it’s safer to keep using a product you’re familiar with.
First, I create a passage with something like a drill bit. If you don’t do this“I’m pretty sure it’s in there?”you’ll end up installing it anyway.
If you have the peace of mind that it’s definitely inserted when something goes wrong, the fewer suspicions the better. It happens all the time, doesn’t it?“That place I touched recently seems suspicious” Reducing this as much as possible gives you peace of mind when something happens.
Check thedepth and protrusion of the ignition coil before inserting for more certainty.
This too“I’m pretty sure it’s in there?”you’ll end up installing it anyway. When you can visually confirm that it’s inserted correctly, your peace of mind increases dramatically
Questionable NGK power cable
It’s not running badly or anything. When I inserted it somewhat casually, #2-3“click click click click”wouldn’t go in. I only feel the resistance of the plug cap, so it feels oddly uncomfortable.
When I swapped the plug caps between cylinders, only #1-4“click click”went in. It felt a bit uncomfortable, so I decided to order the original and replace it. Compared to the original depth, the NGK is slightly deeper (harder to reach) The structure of the plug cap itself is also slightly different, so this symptom might be caused by small tolerances.
The original is made in two parts like this, allowing for quite a bit of flexibility.
On the left side cam chain, there’s an air vent to prevent water from pooling during rainy weather. That’s a pretty maniacal design for the era.
Making labels with a P-touch like the original makes future work much more convenient.
No matter how clean it is, if it’s written in marker it gets a bit sad. It looks stock at first glance, butusing bright yellow or similar colors for good visibility is good.
Also, if this label happens to peel offusing a color that’s easy to spot is important I think.
After allplug cords feel amazing when they’re silicon. The convenience when replacing plugs is completely different.
The brakes are squeaking, so let me check them out
I thought it was fine, but it was actually quite worn on one side. Ouch! So let’s replace them.
The key to a single-piston caliper is the sliding part. How smoothly this moves makes a huge difference in brake performance.
Currently, both the piston and everything else are quite stiff, so we can expect much better performance.
The brake caliper was also quite stiff. Well, I’ll check it once the parts arrive.
Rear master cylinder (*´ω`*)
While I was ordering some parts, I suddenly became curious… Did the sound quality improve that much??
Since the tank was already off, I also adjusted the synchronization. There’s a bit more to come with additional work (*´ω`*)
What I’m really thinking is“Not many bikes coming in makes things easier”
With the old Meguro location“A fixed number of bikes coming in” = “Delivery is a must” Even when we think this work should be done depending on the situation“temporary delivery”had to be arranged or the shop wouldn’t run. In those casesit ends up being double or triple the workwhich is really bad for mental health.
In the first place, the phone didn’t ring at Meguro, and having no phone calls here is also very appreciated. Andsalespeople and casual visitors are completely absent sofinally it feels like the ideal setup. HonestlyI really think Tokyo wasted so much time on pointless things.
If you can make it work, working in the countryside is so much easier that’s what I’m really thinking.
