I think I saw it on Instagram.Glamster BLAST The late-20th-century design just really grabbed me. Ever since, I’ve been curious—so curious— I figured I’d see the real thing (the standard Glamster) and think it over (*´ω｀*)
I deliberately chose the winding roads, wondering if there might be a new route. My first impression was that the parking lot is tight… The shop itself is also relatively small…
My first SHOEI! They use a dedicated scale to measure your head size.
They input the measurements into a PC to determine helmet size, but… it came out as L or XL. No way… With Arai, I wearS or XS,so that can’t be right… So we tried on a size S to check the fit.
SHOEI’s software seems to work on the principle of“adding padding to adjust,”I think. But honestly, trying it on first and then adjusting seems faster. I realized that trying it on first is the way to go.

Size S is perfect! Bomberfit. The cheeks are a bit loose, so I adjusted them to+4mm on each side (+2mm per side). I like my helmets snug enough that they don’t move when I shake my head side to side and up and down. Changing the padding and cheek pad thickness feel different, so I’ll need to fine-tune things later.
Smaller helmets look cooler, right? I definitely wouldn’t have bought it if it was L or XL…smaller sizes really are the way to go.
So now I’m officially a SHOEI user!!! I really felt the difference—a company listed on the Tokyo Prime Market has a different sales strategy and service approach.
Three colors to choose from! Which would you pick?
I only had two colors in mind. I think going for something with more visual impact makes the helmet stand out on its own.
I ruled out red because I already have an orange helmet. So I went with blue/black.
Black could always be customized with pinstripes later… or even line tape would give a similar vibe.
Basically, I’m not a fan of black, so I try to avoid it when I can. I tend to leave it off my bikes too, since it’s easy to fall back on as a safe choice.
Six-month lead time! Well, I don’t need it right away, so even a year from now is totally fine (*´ω｀*) I really learned that you need to have patience when buying things.

News: I finally placed an order for the SHOEI Glamster, the popular neo-classic full-face helmet. Model: I chose the new graphic model “BLAST” in TC-2 (Blue/Black), which starts shipping on January 22, 2026. Expectation: This is actually my first SHOEI helmet. I chose it because the classic design perfectly matches my vintage bikes (Z1/Katana). I can’t wait to unbox it!
