GSX-R750L Oil-Cooled Maintenance, Deco-mainte, and Other

Oh wow! Is the world on a three-day holiday?

Heavy rain is wreaking havoc across Japan.
Rather than typhoons, in recent years we have “linear precipitation zones”

What used to be a once-in-a-decade levelnow feels like it happens “three times a year.”
It’s scary living near rivers…
*Though you probably don’t know this, our shop is also close to a river.
(There’s actually a river running under the greenway.)

We have to think about a lot of things.

Quite a nice fragrant finish—I’m impressed!

It’s turned out to be a really nice color.

Experience the power of engine conditioner!

Let it sit for 10-15 minutes and wipe it off—it gets really clean!
It’s good to have one bottle on hand as a cleaning tool.
*Though it does smell…

Flushing oil won’t remove the dirt…
you’ll understand what I mean( ;∀;)

The inside of the head cover was in this condition.

The camshaft was in great condition with no signs of seizing.

Regarding seizing, my theory is
“it occurs when oil pressure is low and oil temperature stays high”

In other words,
“idling at traffic lights and gradually raising oil temperature”
is probably not great.
Well, balancing all these factors is tricky though…

“120 degrees is normal”—when I hear that,
I can’t help but“laugh awkwardly”( ;∀;)
I’m of the opinion that the oil cooler size is fine at stock
—it’s all about how you use it.

The finish is beautiful (*´ω`*)
