Is that red frame striking?

Overall, it’s a tasteful finish that really hits the mark… I like it!
Today, for now“Harness” I’ll remove.

Open-type batteries should
be replaced immediately with AGM-GEL batteries.

It’s a wonderful battery that can be converted to MF as is.
Back in the day, I used“WESTCO”but
recently

the“Pro Battery”
released by Custom Japan is often met with “Really, is it okay?” but
so far, there haven’t been any issues at all.
I’ll replace it this time too.

This vent tube is quite a troublemaker

As a breather for the battery
constantly“hydrogen gas is hissing”out.

The hose has“escape slits for when it breaks”.
Naturally, it’s positioned close to the battery.

Battery area rusts
High possibility of ignition

I’ve seen a battery ignite and explode once.
From the sparks of a grinder during chain replacement“Bang!”

No fire, but the battery exploded, so soaked in dilute sulfuric acid“I was all worked up”
I really felt like “This is quite a problem!”
The world is always a lesson from others’ mistakes…

Avoid co-tightening battery terminals as much as possible

There’s only a possibility of trouble occurring during battery replacement or removal.
One bolt is about the limit…

That’s quite a punch…

In this situation, it’s beyond analysis, so“We’ll use what we understand”and“Remove what we don’t understand”
We’ve been given the OK to keep only the ETC, dash cam, and USB.

What is this for? SH541G-12
The wire colors are different, so it looks like a repurposed part.
A quick search suggests it’s Kawasaki.

This is a common heat generation issue from the GS/GSX era.

But this is quite severe.
All three phases of the generator are stuck together.

Whether it’s a problem with this connection method, the regulator, or
Suzuki’s characteristic one-shot OFF from that era…

It’s an unpleasant thing.

Since there’s no information at all, I’m assuming this is correct
and I’ll check the colors, cut, and remove it.

Separating “necessary and unnecessary items”makes the work more efficient.
And let’s get rid of this old LED lamp…

For the Katana, making this“ultra-low profile”feels good
I always hate how it seems like it might hit when removing the tank

For now, I’ve removed the harness, so I’ll polish it and put the bodywork back together once.

I’ve applied Plexus to the clean frame.
A freshly repainted frame really looks great!

Storing bolts in a Ring Star case is foolproof.

You’ll never lose anything.
Reassembly is also very quick.
Storage and management are simply the best.

I’m the type who likes to keep track of how many cable ties I’ve cut as a hobby
It’s quite a ranking.
