I think tools are important too. Actually, they’re quite important.
What’s so good about this? Even those who hate disc grinders might love it? It’s packed with features!
I hate that 100V grinders always run at maximum speed
Basically, a standard disc grinder operates with just power ON/OFF.
The moment you turn it on, it goes “Whirrrrr” and spins at maximum speed continuously—a reliable fellow.
I understand the torque relationship and why they need high RPMs, but…
• It’s loud
• It’s scary
• You don’t need that much speed
• Dust and sparks fly everywhere
And so on. When you just want to do a little grinding, it’s a hassle.
The paddle switch is excellent (*^-^*)
You can turn it ON/OFF with this.
Like a belt sander with “Woo-woo-woo” ON/OFF, you can do light grinding work too.
Note that the paddle switch doesn’t adjust speed like an accelerator.
It has 1-5 speed adjustment settings. This is really quite nice.
I bet there are actually quite a few people who’ve been wanting something like this, right?
By the way, the 1-5 settings are like a volume dial.
In other words, there are steps in between.
If 2 is too slow and 3 is too fast, you can use 2.5!
Being able to adjust the speed to your preference really increases your confidence in the work.
Basically, I really hate grinders.
I hate the dust, sparks, and noise.
When using it for cutting or grinding for extended periods, the whole shop gets covered in dust, so you need to set up partitions.
By being able to lower the RPM depending on the task, the dust doesn’t fly as far, so I’ve been using it much more frequently.
When you just want to do a little grinding—the cordless design that you can pick up by hand is really recommended.

Also, there are threaded holes on the back for attaching a handle, so you can expand your work capabilities using those.
