Today I’m going to do a tire change (‘ω’)ノ
It’s summer-like weather today!
Front 2.75-18, rear 4.00-18 wheel rim width.
The 18-inch rear seems to have been in its heyday with 4.00, but in recent years the 4.50-18 trend has been growing, leaving the 4.00 in a tight spot.
We went with the Road Smart IV tire, which makes work smart.
We’re switching the air valve to an Ariel aluminum one.
These days there are products like this in 11.3φ, which is nice~
With this installed, it’s easy at the gas station too♪ Of course, point the air valve to the right side.
I’ll check the axle shafts front and rear~
I’ll also check the wheel bearings with Check-kun No. 1~
The hub damper has hardened, so we’ll replace it. (Already ordered today)
I’ll check the wheel balance point.
The air valve might be the heaviest only on aftermarket wheels.
If you align the tire balance point with the air valve on OEM wheels, you could end up installing a ton of weight, so be careful.
The rear has one spot with some runout. It’s not leaking air.
If it bothers you, we could correct it later.
This time too, there’s a generous amount of grease service. But it’s just messy and serves no real purpose, so I think it’s a habit that should be discontinued (´-`).｡oO
At minimum, you should disassemble, clean, and then oil the moving parts (*´ω｀)
The speedometer cable was bone dry.
Please wipe and clean it occasionally (‘ω’)ノ
And that’s the tire change complete~
