I’ve been wanting to try this out!
It’s semi-floating, so it’s flexible in many ways.
Push and pull are definitely advantageous too (*’▽’)
When I compare them, I realize it’s quite a bit larger.
The caliper support is the discontinued 69721-35F00.
We sourced it used and finished it with wet blasting (^_-)-☆
We’ll machine the collar on a lathe with a +2/100 press fit (‘ω’)ノ
Heat it up in the oven and it slides right in by hand. You want the press fit to go in smoothly.
Normally you need to mill the caliper mounting side a bit. It’s best to check the actual part before machining.
It’s less about customization and more about the importance of replacing critical wear items…
And it’s not about the exhaust, okay?
This kind of parts-sharing trick used to be what made Suzuki great…
Like the stock setup, it gets a rigid rod connection from the swingarm, so there’s no need to make the support floating.
When adapting parts, you need to know the pad contact width.
The hub wear is minimal…
