The light seemed to be out… or maybe not…
When the owner checked, it turned out the connector had melted (‘ω’)ノ
The 900SS is old, after all… quite poignant. . .
What had melted was the ground wire.
Ducati’s wiring is pretty thin… quite… I get worried about it. Looks like 0.75–1 SQ or so?
The recent trend? LED. Cheap, yet it comes with two bulbs, the high/low switching works properly, and the brightness is spot-on with the Novsight H4 LED
There are headlight lens issues to consider, but generally it should reach inspection-passing levels, don’t you think?
We repaired the connector and so on, then performed beam axis adjustment and measurement.
Our tester doesn’t support LED/HID, but it showed 29,000 cd.
I suspect it might actually be putting out around 35,000 cd or so. We’ve entered a great era…
