XJR1300YSP Limited Black Special. Inspection and Deco-mainte

The manufacturer uses different amperage fuses…
7.5A or 40A?? Hmm, super rare? I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before.

I’ll wrap up where I left off yesterday. ♪

I checked the axle shaft.

Lately I’ve been thinking… “Most of our customers don’t crash, so maybe I don’t need to check…”
But you know, just to be safe.

Both the wheel and tire checked out fine.

It hit the curb pretty hard! At the tire shop, just in case—where and who did it happen?
I do a thorough check-one-two to make sure nobody blames us.

The wheel bearings are in good shape too.

The caliper operation is excellent. I refreshed the pad springs nicely too. The MOS caliper works great!

Haven’t been to Mos Burger in a while. (Saedo location)

The brake disc thickness is fine.

I cleaned out the disc holes front and rear and degreased the disc surfaces.
The effect might be subtle, but it should feel better psychologically.

I cleaned up the front fork. I opened the cap to air it out so it won’t smell like rotten eggs anymore.

I cleaned and lubricated all the control systems. When the controls are refreshed, it feels like everything tightens up and becomes sharp and responsive.

I replaced the brake fluid with CCI Golden Cruiser DOT 4.

I cleaned out the main key slot debris and treated the fuel cap for rust and cleaning. The key should turn a bit smoother now.

I washed the air filter and gave the battery a good charge.

I cleaned up the corroded muffler bracket a bit.

Now for a test ride and we’re done!
