Whoever came up with the bolt-on frame mount kit… amazing…
It’s well thought out. The frame number clearance is exquisite.
Removed the stem. It had plenty of grease and looked good.
When I lifted the front and turned it left and right, there was a slight knock, so it was just right.
The lower side had pretty deep scratches.
Park Tool RT-2 RT-1 Head One Remover isn’t great with tapered roller bearings…
We pulled it out with a Suzuki OEM tool.
We welded a nut to the turning part to achieve powerful holding.
This is a spot you can only clean at times like this, so we scrub it well.
The race presses in smoothly with hydraulic pressure.

If you feel the seal resistance on the lower side before pressing it in, adjustment becomes easier later.
Still… it’s not a great seal.
This Kawasaki-style upper seal is quite tricky.
When installed, the rubber grips firmly. The seal looks good, but…
I adjust the grip before assembling.
We apply Neutech NC-100 grease generously and assemble.
The good things about this grease are…
• Despite its consistency, it’s soft enough for smooth operation.
• It doesn’t run even under heat. (Especially GOOD on aluminum frames.)
• It doesn’t wash off easily even with solvent.
It’s a grease that combines durability and smooth operation, so it’s very useful on the bike.
Now we’ll change the fork oil. It was in good clean condition, which is great.
We work the rod and inner back and forth, then pull a vacuum.
It’s just peace of mind, but if you can feel that the air is out,
even if there’s a question about fork operation,
you can be a bit more confident that “the air is out, so the oil level should be the same.”
The wheel bearing that was a concern—we adjusted it and called it good.
Let’s clean up the fine details and apply some oil too.
The eccentric spacer got dirty, so we’re replacing it.
This is pretty cheap… doesn’t seem very Kawasaki-like.
We applied Gun Coat here and there. The blend of glossy black and gray looks great.
Just spraying small parts like this boosts the quality.
Gun Coat goes on quick and efficient like this.
The area around the shaft turned black and looks even tighter now.
And we’re done.
