The meter pitch is the same—looks like it’ll work but it won’t. The shape is problematic too.

Drilling a slightly larger hole with the drill press sounds like a pain.

A 52 by 6mm punch—our shop’s press machine said, “Won’t it just punch through?” Normally you’d need shear blades, but it worked. Smooth.

The plate was bigger at first, but we made clearance cuts and ended up with this.

Glad we didn’t have to lighten it from the start.

Sorry about the sharp bend marks. There’s a ton of wiring to route. For now, clear coat.

That’s how it came together.

That’s a pretty sharp melt pattern. It’d be tough unless there’s a serious short.

For now, we cut it off.

This spot smells bad. It’s melting.

We stock angle and straight fittings, though not many.

That’s what we did. We also eliminated the shared fastener and made it one piece.

First priority is to get it running and registered. Muffler modification looks like it’ll be tricky, so we’re skipping it this time.
For now, we made a muffler bracket and hung it up.

flattened it and added radius,

welded a plate,

and connected it that way.
