Now let’s get to the actual work.

We’ll wipe down the chain thoroughly and give it a good cleaning.

The idling, which had felt sluggish, now sounds like a proper four-cylinder. We adjusted the PS too, and it’s running great.

The caliper is fairly dirty. We hadn’t noticed any cracks at this point.

Yamaha’s MOS calipers look so cool—they’ve got that Spoon or AP vibe, you know? Really nice. And they’re monoblock.

The dirt is pretty moderate.

Let’s clean up the pad springs too.

Wow, it looks brand new—that’s satisfying.

Next we’ll do a fluid change.

Let’s add some Fuel One as well.

When you twist it just right, it pulls in quite a bit from the inside.

The feel was a bit subtle, so I was watching it and…

When you hold it squeezed, fluid slowly seeps out. Seeing this really drove home the importance of applying a little oil after caliper cleaning.
• Caliper cleaning 2P × 3 = 6P
• Fluid change 2P × 4 = 8P
• Carburetor synchronization = 4P
• Fuel One = 1P
• Chain cleaning, lubrication, and adjustment = 2P
= 21P
