First, let’s modify the side stand.
If we spend too much time on it, making a new one would be faster and more cost-effective, so we’ll keep it simple.
A short side stand even though it’s been replaced. It’s one of those solid ones I’ve seen somewhere before.
Looking at it, it’s tilted quite far to the left and has developed a ballerina sole…
17.7 degrees. It moves somewhat under 1G, so just for reference.
We’ll punch out sheet metal pieces and use them as stoppers.

Just kidding, it’s a contour.
We welded all the way around and built up the sole.
I think a side stand with a buffed mirror finish looks too American, so I’ll polish it to a matte finish.
We’ll reduce play in the stand gap with shims and we’re done.
If it were mine, I’d set it more upright, but I think this angle works well for both offense and defense.
