It came in last November and now it’s already the end of April… I think it’s about time, don’t you?
I take photos so I don’t lose track of where everything goes. When you remove it, you notice how the harness is routed and realize there’s a start mechanism that you wouldn’t otherwise know about.
Both the main harness and sub-harness still come out. That’s great.
Once you replace them, you can rest easy for as long as you own the bike.
It hasn’t been used much, but it’s definitely hardened up.
The igniter wire chain, maybe? Who knew something like this existed. I went ahead and repaired it.
Fuses checked too. Most of them are pretty cloudy and conducting through the wire, it seems.
I’m sourcing power for the ETC. Lately, keeping the main harness unmodified is the safest approach. Since this is on the switch side, I’m comfortable with it. It looks clean when you can tap power and ground in parallel.
Done in no time.
Bundling it in mesh looks good and makes maintenance easier. Cranking it down hard with cable ties looks a bit sad.
Battery charging now.
