⑥GSF1200 Repair and Fabrication

Let’s install a popular T-REV.

We bend it with a bender—no sand filling or heating needed, it just bends smoothly.
SUS304 T=1.00 OD12.7

We create a retaining feature with a bead roller.

We weld it flat against the surface.

Very nice and clean, I’d say.

I happen to have an engine I just pulled, so let’s fit it.

We remove the heat discoloration and make it even simpler.

We polished this one too. No photo of the finished result.

The carburettor case is now empty, so on to the next carburettor.

The intake manifold is pretty stiff too—if this area gives out, it’ll be really tough. It’s still working, but I’m worried when it might stop.

The condition is excellent overall.

Looking at this block, it’s obvious at a glance—there’s barely any wear.
*By the way, the block is not available as a separate part.

A little rust too.

The joint seal was broken off.

But this design uses multiple rows of O-rings connected together, so it won’t leak at this level.

We’re holding off for now after disassembly.
