Let’s convert the underbody cowl to quick fasteners.
We’ve made a jig to punch the elongated holes. We couldn’t find a receiver that matches the cowl’s pitch.
We’ll mill away the nut on the underbody tube receiver.
After grinding, we tack-weld the shortened receiver and we’re done.
Now we just wait for it to cool.
Now the underbody cowl attaches and detaches easily with fasteners.
Pretty convenient. We forgot to order the swingarm washer, so that’s on hold for now…
