Smaller isn’t always better. Using screw-in LEDs as indicators these days is questionable…
What stands out is the thinness, short depth, and the fact that the wiring is fine and bundled into a single line. Since it can be replaced with just one connector if it breaks, you don’t have to cut or pull out wiring like you would with screw-in LEDs. Well, it’s not a location you disconnect frequently, but I think a lot of people have felt annoyed by that.
I’ll make a mounting bracket by bending metal. Just bending it would work, but I think it’s better if the finished piece looks decent even on its own.
The welding area also gets a 50R radius relief to keep it as light as possible.

It got a bit discolored from heat, so I’ll polish it to clean it up.
