Since we have some spare time, let’s fabricate a bracket. Keeping it light and simple without sacrificing serviceability will make future work much easier.
I was puzzling over the design, so I’m going to approach it with a bicycle stem concept. When you cut at an angle and tighten it, part of the outer diameter gets a bit larger.
The clutch side is fine with a low-profile co-tightening. I’ve changed the master side to straight.
The brake side and hose vent are also fine—not too tight.
Around the handlebar area, we’re always pulling the fork and disassembling the stem, so good workability during those jobs is a plus.
During maintenance, there are so many parts to remove, and with all those nuts and washers, it feels like a puzzle—which is really annoying.
Poor serviceability is acceptable only if everything works—that’s the privilege of someone who does all the work themselves.
