DUCATI Hypermotard parts installation.
Now I’m mounting a tool bag on the cargo rack. I’m thinking about drilling holes and using weld nuts—still considering it. For now, I’ll just position it.
The pitch and position are so misaligned I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, so drilling holes in this state is out. I’ll think of a different approach.
I made a backing plate like this to prevent over-tightening. I also lightly threaded it because I don’t like having nuts fixed on the back.
One is set up as a bolt-and-nut for insurance.
The U-shaped piece is a bit tedious, but bending it so it catches improves installation.
At this point, only the tool bag is mounted…
