Surging in Popularity! Early Oil-Cooled GSX-R750 GR71 Inspection – Oil & Fluid Change

Everyone, I feel like multi-bike ownership is accelerating, doesn’t it?
Motorcycles are just the right size, or rather, you can somehow manage to store them.
That aspect is quite significant, isn’t it?

A motorcycle from 2000 is now a 25-year-old vehicle.
As they get older and older, it’s better to enjoy riding them while you can.

First, let’s change the engine oil

The early GSX-R750 GR71 has an oil filter of a special size.
Due to inventory constraints, our shop forcibly replaces the union fitting.

If you replace it with the union from the oil-cooled 1100/1200,
you can use the same oil filter as the Hayabusa and GSXR1000 oil-cooled 1100/1200.
By the way, the dimensions of the O-ring seating surface on the crankcase are the same, so rest assured.

*Since it was replaced quite a while ago, the work is easy.

We can repurpose the quick fastener from the limited edition RR

This fastener exists as a standard specification.
However, the length is a bit obscure and I don’t recall finding it.
