Yoshimura! Yoshimura★Yoshimura♪

I never thought so many oil-cooled engine users would show up.
If I’d known, I should have hoarded Yoshimura engine covers and bonnets★
About ten years ago, they weren’t that rare—you’d see them pretty often in sales magazines (mufflers, that is).

Back then I was crazy about 70s and 80s 1000cc superbikes and had no interest in them at all.
Thinking back to those days, I’m moving forward with the E4.
The direction is completely different, so I need to cultivate the right sensibility.
With the GSF, you can do anything and there’s no goal or end—right now it’s just “if it’s black and small, it’s good”—but
for building a bike from this era, the goal is superbike style from back then—
but I’ve decided a full-on replica is out!
Because no matter how many original parts you bolt on, a replica will never be the real thing. (Sad, but true.)
I use them as reference, but I won’t make it the same—that’s my philosophy.
So it’s squid, so to speak. Squid? That means it’s not cluttered—when you look closely, things are different.
For example, up close you’ll spot titanium bolts, screws with minus-head slots, holes drilled in places.
I want each part to carry deep meaning.
It’s almost a sickness! Since I start by collecting parts, it’ll probably take about five years…
By now you probably can’t find them anymore. I hope it becomes the last superbike replica.
I’ll keep pushing hard through the end of the year!
By the way, here are the details on this GSX-R750 E4—
[Engine] US Yoshimura dead-stock spare engine
(Only the head cover has been removed, but the cam is probably ST2 or better?)
[Carburetor] Yoshimura Mikuni TMR-MJN
[Muffler] Bonnet pipe
[Wheels] RGB500 Dymag 2.50-18 and market Dymag 3.50-18
[Brakes] Front caliper AP CP3485-8so, rear caliper RGB500
Front disc RGB500 late 310φ rotor (drilled, not solid) and rear disc RGB500 220φ vented
[Master] Brembo machined 19φ×18
[Fork] Yoshimura Kayaba 40φ
[Stem & Under] For GS1000R #(the under might be different? Yeah, it’s different! Some kind of machined piece)
[Front fender] Yoshimura carbon from back in the day
[Tachometer] Suzuki factory tachometer
[Throttle] Mag XR (factory use)
Looking at it this way, there’s still room for improvement! Gani, keep striving every day!
