We’re powering through hectic weekends and gradually chipping away at the weekday homework rush. Now let’s check whether we can use the exhaust pipe from the oil-cooled 1200.
When the flange drops with a clang, secure it with a repeat tie.
What’s this for? I’m pretty sure it looks like an Inazuma 1200, but…
We also removed the auxiliary oil cooler and checked the fit.
It’s possible to secure the exhaust pipe.
●The auxiliary oil cooler bracket makes heavy contact. ●The oil cooler right-side line contacts the collector. ●The tail pipe angle doesn’t line up and looks pretty bad. ●Silencer punching and carbon shell cracking
So we decided to reject using this one.
We’ll think up a plan and fix it.
An L-shaped bracket extends from the tail pipe side and mounts to the frame. No matter how you look at it, the design is prone to breaking, so we had to think about what to do. Securing it properly takes time, which means cost.
This time we went with a budget-friendly plan.
The pipe is bent in a really awkward shape, so we had a bit of a struggle. We applied a patch for now, so it should be safe.
We went with flanged bolts for the exhaust pipe mounting.
We also swapped the master tank bracket for a larger one and laid it out.
