Today we’ve got two inspections! This is rough! I’d like to push one to tomorrow, but if it fails, that’d be a real problem, so
I’m doing both today!
One is an RF900—that one passed without any issues♪ Happy days=
Next is the problematic DR400! I already knew this one would fail the Shinagawa inspection due to insufficient light output…
So I added wiring to run the high beam directly from the battery and installed a switch! This should work!
Off to the testing station… “The light axis won’t align at all!” Whoa, whoa, whoa!
Can we get it to go a bit more to the right? “We’ll have to turn the handlebars!” And… seriously?
The alignment line cleared fine, but the headlight—the problem one—hmm, hmm… “X” mark.
Oh no! This is bad, bad!
I turn the handlebars back a bit… hmm, hmm… “✓” mark! Yeah!
We finished up successfully! After that we handled the title transfer and made it back to the shop safely~
Ugh, I gotta stop scrambling at the last minute like this!
