I’ve been doing a lot of protective wrapping lately. I’m getting more nervous as I get older.

The wheel rotation felt a bit off. If loosening and tightening the axle shaft makes a big difference in how smoothly it spins, that’s something to check.
Sometimes the seal is doing its job, so we remove it.

The wheel bearing is an unusual part number—very Honda-like. The bearing seal looks like a contact type and it’s quite stiff.
It’s running much smoother now. Great!

The hub damper is solid and the bearing looks good too.

Now let’s move on to the clutch release. In recent years, we’ve moved past cups and into the O-ring era. Hmm… is that so…
Unlike cups, O-rings don’t wear out the same way, so they have a longer lifespan. With O-rings positioned top and bottom, they seat better and reduce damage to the piston and cylinder. Plus, you can achieve tighter piston clearance, which is another benefit.

Wow, I see. Newer motorcycle parts are full of information.

There’s hardly any dust on it… It’s cleaner than a new bike.
