Oh… it’s all stock♪
Due to time constraints, I decided to ride it to the inspection myself. (And get a test ride in the process…)
Looking closer, I noticed “Oh, there’s a shifter on it!”
Let me try it out…
Even the bikes I have with shifters installed, I’ve never actually used them.
It’s more of a stubborn thing, I guess…
I keep imagining that low-speed city riding would be all clunky and jerky, and that bad fantasy keeps running through my head.
A bit nervous… I don’t have to back off the throttle, right?
It feels like I’m doing something wrong, and I’m getting tense.

Wait… Click! Click! It just slots in so smoothly… (Experiencing the 21st century for the first time now.)
It’s like the feeling of getting your first smartphone.
Hmm—once I get used to this, I might not be able to go back to older bikes… this is amazing♪
Next, the throttle response felt sluggish, so I switched modes.
I told myself not to expect too much, then at a red light I gave it a try…
Whoa!
It suddenly becomes super responsive… It’s like the throttle cable went from slack to tight.
The feeling is kind of like tightening elastic on pants—suddenly snug.
It’s pretty interesting… My CB1100 SC65 is surprisingly analog.
I didn’t try the traction control… I wonder if that’s amazing too.
