Bandit 1200 FCC Clutch Replacement Rear Master OH Pad Pin Installation

Is it really? A rare Bandit 1200

The oil-cooled 1200 that was sold the longest and likely had the most units sold.
Touring practical bikes change quickly, maybe?

Let’s move right along~( *´艸`)

From here on, peace of mind with the “FCC Clutch TYPE-E”

TYPE-E 214-S0229-02

For the oil-cooled 1200, this is what you should get.
Just inspect and swap it in. Rest assured.

Two little screws (the old model has 3)
The diaphragm spring has tension applied,
so making a tool like in the image allows for smooth removal.

The friction material and steel plates looked in good condition.
It seems the clutch operation and oil maintenance have been done properly(*´ω`*)

Modern friction materials and surface treatment deliver reliable power transmission.
With just a swap from the original, you get this level of performance—truly an excellent item.

The judder spring that was once vilified.
I think the concept is actually quite good.
When you swap to FCC, the image shows“larger inner diameter”plate becomes standard size,
and the judder spring is removed( ;∀;)

The front cover had shiny contact areas,
so I polished it up(*´ω`*)

Assembly complete and installation finished.

Suzuki clutch maintenance generally requires“special tools.”
The structure is simple, but the hurdle is fairly high.

To be continued.

(´ー`)Worried about when clutches will become unavailable
