So the other day, I found myself needing a vacuum cleaner while out and about
and I purchased a used “Dyson V8 Absolute”
, a slightly older model.
Since the genuine Dyson battery is still in good condition
I kept using it as is.
But…
Dyson requires
battery charging, no continuous use.
Of course, that makes sense.
Well, if you’re using it at home, the capacity is probably sufficient.
But
when you’re using it heavily outdoors, that’s not the case.
Use it, then charge (takes tens of minutes)
If only I had gone with Makita battery specs… (I had already purchased it)
Disappointing.
For those who use it outdoors or want extended runtime
I strongly recommend the “Makita battery attachment”.

When you’re unsure which one to buy
look at the battery shape.
The part that fits into the Dyson body is“long or short”.
I had completely overlooked that the battery could die and become unusable“by accident”.
Including battery replacement, it’s truly “cordless“.
