When outlet wiring under your desk and other areas gets messy, it’s really frustrating, isn’t it? I was thinking that organizing it is surprisingly difficult and wondering if there was an easier way to keep things clean.
While browsing around, I found something called the “Zakiyama” TOWER series. It has decent build quality, reasonable pricing, and is easy to install—a truly wonderful item.
Rather than having messy, dusty cables at your feet, organizing things this way keeps everything fresh and clean! Cleaning becomes much easier too.
This is a MUJI cardboard box I modified at home long ago to organize wiring. This time, due to the table and power outlet layout, the wiring ends up in a visible position.
While the table is still temporary, I want to plan ahead so the wiring layout can be kept clean.

The component configuration is just this—very simple indeed. It’s truly a well-thought-out product.
Installation is extremely simple—just fix it with tapping screws at four points. The hole positions are quite forgiving, so you don’t need to be too nervous.
If you really want it flush against the surface, it’s better to clamp it firmly before fixing.
The top cover is very simple—you just place it on. Since layout changes later are easy to make, it’s a wonderful design!
Once installation is complete, just toss the cables in!
By the way, you can route cables from the left and right sides as well as from the back, so the layout is completely flexible. The bottom is also perforated, so heat issues are resolved.
Monotaro’s “shape-memory type” is excellent and a favorite of mine
There are other proper brand options, but I use this one. The balance between availability and price is excellent. Since this shape-memory type came out, cable management has become incredibly convenient.
I really wish I’d had such a convenient material 10 or even 20 years ago…
Laying things out as simply as possible like this looks good, doesn’t it? If you pack things too tightly, rearranging later becomes a hassle, so a moderate approach is safer.
