I can’t believe the domestic spec has gotten so expensive… Z2 (750RS) inspection – fork oil leak – checking for other seepage, oil changes, and more

The Z2 and Z750X-1 were bikes that left quite an impression of being great deals.
I remember being fascinated by places like Gazelle that used to be on Route 8… those were the days.

The backlog of tasks is starting to come together, so I’ll get moving on the work!

Bikes from this era have excellent maintainability.

The structure is built so you can see how it works, making it very easy to maintain.

However, with various small parts, specific orientations, and wear to account for,
it does require some extra effort in certain areas.

If you finish the inner tube properly, it’s less prone to leaking.

But despite saying all that, the fork oil leaked again after a long time.
It’s leaking after just two years… if it leaks like this, we need to reconsider.

The inner tube runout is 0/100, so we’re good.

The axle shaft and other parts are also in good condition.

If you clean the cylinder rod bolts so they slide in smoothly, you can tighten them with confidence.

Quickly completed the overhaul and I’m sure it’s solid now (*´ω｀*)
It shouldn’t leak a bit… hehe

The wheel bearings have settled in nicely and are running very smoothly.
