E.COOLINE Powercool SX3
We’ve been experiencing days with high outdoor temperatures. I think the temperature keeps rising year after year.
I’ve been searching for a way to cool down a bit more easily.
In Japan, air-conditioned work jackets, Peltier-type cooling vests, water-cooled clothing, and hybrids of these are mainstream, with little that’s new.
I came across this German-made E.COOLINE Powercool SX3 through some introduction
and while I researched the official homepage and YouTube extensively, there’s barely any domestic reviews – maybe one or none at all.
That makes sense since one costs around 40,000 yen, so it’s not something you can casually try.
The lowest price I found was just over 30,000 yen.

In my imagination, if you wear this and put on an air-conditioned jacket over it, I think you’d be absolutely unstoppable.

“Even though it’s wet with water,” the clothing doesn’t get wet – is that really true?
Since there are no proper reviews, I can’t help but doubt its credibility.
You wet this vest with water, wrap it in a towel to remove excess moisture, then just wear it – and it doesn’t get wet.
It keeps you cool for up to 20 hours – sounds ridiculous, right?
If this is actually true, it seems like an incredibly amazing system.
There are several concerns before purchasing that I’d like to share.
・Since it stays damp, won’t it start to smell?
The instructions say to dry it once a week, but is once a week really enough?
I have a feeling that once an odor sets in, it won’t come out.
・The sizing is extremely difficult.
Since you don’t wear it directly on your skin, it’s really hard to know what level of fit is best.
If it’s too loose, does the effect diminish? If it’s too tight, won’t it be uncomfortable? I’d like to check the material feel.
・A price range of over 30,000 but under 40,000 yen – not too risky
Even if you get the size wrong or it starts to smell and need to replace it, it’s still a price point that makes you hesitate.
I think it would become more widespread if it were under 20,000 yen, but it’s a bit hard to commit to at this price.
The sizing seems to run a bit small. Orange is also available in the home country
For me, I think it would be either size M or L.
If I go safe, size L. I’m thinking maybe size M.
But summer’s almost over anyway, so whether I actually buy it is questionable.
I’m hoping some brave soul will step up.
If I were to buy it, I’d probably end up reaching for orange.
Going with plain black isn’t really recommended on hot summer days.
The darker the color, the hotter it gets, so it’s probably best to avoid it if possible.
I personally prefer green or light blue colors.
If this technology is real, it has high potential to be the ultimate solution
This vest alone seems very efficient, but combined with an air-conditioned jacket, it should be even more effective, right?
Basically, you’re wearing a wet T-shirt and getting hit with the air-conditioned jacket’s breeze, so it should be incredibly cool.
But at this price point, it’s hard to commit to
so I’m introducing it this way and waiting for a brave soul to appear.
Or maybe I should try to get a try-on item that someone bought in the wrong size.
Despite being sold on various e-commerce sites, why are there so few reviews?
My guess is that whether good or bad, there’s just nothing worth reviewing.
If it were exceptionally good or bad, I’d think someone would write about it
but maybe it’s just not selling that well.
Anyway, I’m waiting for a brave soul to step up.
