First, they’re lightweight. The cleaning effect is outstanding too♬
There’s no real need to go with a 220mm diameter, but I’m amazed at what a great time we live in where parts like this are so easy to get your hands on.
Back in the day…
Only a select few who managed to source such rare disks could install them.
And even then, you couldn’t just bolt them on as-is…it was quite the ordeal.
And since brake disks are consumables, if you install something too rare,you end up in a vicious cycle where you don’t want to brake hard because it’d be such a waste.
So the bike gets ridden less because you’re worried about wearing out the parts.
This one is a ventilated disk of the same type. You can really feel the era in it.
And the hole aesthetics are lavished on it so generously—it’s absolutely beautiful♪
I’m thinking about swapping the GS1000S rear to Sunstar and maybe getting rid of the calipers and master cylinder too…
