When you venture into the back alleys on weekends, you often see old guys just pouring water over their cars…
and right next to them, a high-pressure washer…
I get it if they’ve been hit with salt spray, but… is that really necessary?
Same goes for motorcycles.
Just pouring water from above won’t actually get the dirt off.
At minimum, you need to work up a good lather, get it nice and foamy, then rinse it off.
But if you haven’t ridden in the rain, there’s no real need to use water at all.
Except for off-road bikes that are caked in mud, a bike that doesn’t see rain in the city can usually get by with just wiping.
You might get satisfaction from spending time washing, but since it’s something you do every day, I think the best approach is to keep it quick and easy so you actually stick with it consistently.
It’s like summer homework—if you let it pile up, it becomes a pain later.
Just giving it a quick wipe before you ride keeps all the shine intact.
Plexi lately has become trendy again.
It gets things clean easily, so it’s great for saving time.
Shuraster car wash products Zero Finish, which we’re currently testing simultaneously, shouldn’t be underestimated either.
Try using different products all the way through and test what works best (*^-^*)
