I also had two sets of machined aluminum and magnesium bottom cases for the RGB500, and I regret letting those go too… Well, hindsight is 20/20, that’s just how people are.
Back when commercial pipes weren’t readily available, you’d roll three-roll bends, weld them, stuff them with sand, heat them, and bend them into shape.
Just thinking about it is exhausting… I can’t believe I had such a long three-roll bender back then.
It’s too much of a waste, way too loud, and the low-end response gets too thin, so I’ll never actually install it. But I plan to keep it safe and sound for the future.
