Features: A 1989 monster machine equipped with an intense 1127cc oil-cooled engine.
Work Details:
Inspection of the classic masterpiece muffler **”Yoshimura Duplex Cyclone”** currently installed.
Exhaust pipes (※polishing the exhaust pipes or replacing gaskets, etc.).
Importance of Inspection: The welds on the duplex chamber (bypass tube) are prone to cracking and exhaust leaks due to years of heat and vibration, so regular professional inspection is essential.

Wait… the duplex chamber G/K is missing?
For some reason, only #1-4 are missing. Did I forget to install them? Were they defective? Did they blow off? One of those. I’ll check on this while I’m at it.
I removed it and wet blasted it. It has a kind of titanium-like finish now~
There was a hole in the right chamber, so I repaired it.
One spring was all stretched out ( ；∀；) Losing a chamber is a big deal, so it doesn’t cost much—I recommend checking it every few years~
That’s all cleaned up nicely. Now it’s just the vehicle inspection and we’re done~

Details: This bike is equipped with the iconic Yoshimura Duplex exhaust, which uses crossover chambers between the headers to boost mid-range torque. However, due to intense heat and engine vibration over the decades, these welded crossover tubes are prone to cracking and exhaust leaks. I carefully inspected the welds for any signs of damage and serviced the exhaust gaskets to ensure everything is perfectly sealed. Verdict: The exhaust is in great condition! Firing up the 1127cc oil-cooled engine with that deep Yoshimura growl is an absolute thrill. Preserving these classic parts is a crucial part of vintage motorcycle maintenance.
